Gilbert Davis received a letter, last Saturday, which contained the sad news of the death of his mother, which occurred Oct 26th, at the family home near Lardo, Idaho. She died of typhoid fever which is almost epidemic in that vicinity. She died quite unexpectedly after only a few days illness. Two others of the family are now ill with the same disease, but are both out of danger.

OBITUARY
DAVIS:
Adellia Lloyd Davis, the oldest living daughter of Prosper and Amanda Lloyd, was born July 17, 1856, at Vernon Springs, Howard County, Iowa, where she spent the greater share of her life. She moved with her family, three years ago to Lardo, Idaho, where she passed away at 6:15 a. m., Oct. 25, 1906.
Adellia Lloyd was married to E. W. Davis, Nov. 11, 1880, and leaves to mourn her loss her husband and six children: Mrs. Murrel D. Ahlborn, Elwin J., Roy Gilbert, Flora A., Joseph E. and Ruth M.; all of whom were present but Gilbert who is at Cresco, Ia.
Aug. 11th, Flora was taken sick with a severe attack of typhoid fever, three weeks later Ruth and Joe took the same disease, then Elwin and his father, and last of all, on Sept. 28th, the mother, who had so faithfully cared for her children, contracted the dread disease and gave up her life. After her fever had subsided, complications set in from which she was unable to rally and she sank into unconsciousness Oct. 23rd, passing peacefully away on the morning of the 25th.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, always living a quiet, Christian life in her home. She was buried at Roseberry, Saturday, Oct. 27th; Rev. Varner, of Roseberry, officiating.
Deceased was a member of one of the pioneer families of this county, and in their sad affliction, the sorrowing family have the heartfelt sympathy of all their friends and acquaintances in this locality.
