John Glass passed away Wednesday evening after several weeks of painful illness. The funeral occurs this morning at ten o’clock at the church of the Assumption.

GLASS:
John G. Glass was born in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, in 1838, and died at his home near Cresco, Wednesday evening, March 28, 1906, aged 68 years and 13 days.
June 7, 1864, he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Nole in Pennsylvania, and in the autumn of the same year they came West, settling in Dayton Twp., Chickasaw County, where they resided until removing to Howard County in 1883.
He was the father of twelve children, two of whom have preceded him in death. The surviving children are F. W., of Boise, Idaho, L. H., Wauconda, Washington, Mrs. A. Stowell, Elida, N. M., and T. E., Albert, Jos. J., John C., Charles, Arthur and Maggie, all of Cresco. These children, together with his wife, live to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate father and husband.
The funeral occurred Friday morning from the Church of the Assumption, of which deceased was a consistent member. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
