HAZLEDINE:
Gladys Eveline Hazledine, youngest daughter of Reuben and Sarah Hazledine, was born in Cresco, August 25, 1899. Hers was a bright and happy childhood and for nearly six years she brightened and gladdened the home. With her little brother, who is now making a brave struggle for life on his bed of sickness, she was accustomed to sit in the pew with her mother at all the services of the church. The Master needed her for some noble service, and on Tuesday last, May 9th, at 10:30 a. m., after an illness of about three weeks, He took her to the Heavenly Mansion.
The funeral services were held Sunday last, in the forenoon, at the M. E. church, Rev. Gammons officiating, and was pathetic to an extreme. The sorrowing family have the sincere sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.
