John L. Bouska, a son-in-law of J. J. Lukes, of Protivin, died Friday evening from Brights’ disease, at the home of the latter where the deceased has made his home for some time on account of his health. He has been married about two years, and up to the time of his illness had been a prosperous young man with the brightest prospects for a successful career.

OBITUARY.
John L Bouska died at the home of his wife’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Lukes, in Protivin, where he and his wife had been living for the past three weeks, on Tuesday, May 9th, at about 11 o’clock p. m., and his interment took place in the Protivin Cemetery on Thursday, May 11th, Rev. Kramolis, of Little Turkey, and Rev. K. Vrba, of Protivin, officiating.
The deceased was born In Ft. Atkinson, Ia , on Nov. 18, 1878, and was at the time of his death 26 years 6 months and 9 days of age. He lived with his parents, Frank and Barbara Bouska, for some time In Ft. Atkinson, later moving with them to Sumner Twp , where his father bought a farm,
On Oct. 22, 1903, he was married to Mary Lukes and moved onto a farm in Fayette County, adjoining St. Rose Church, that was purchased and given to the young couple as a wedding gift, where, with his young bride, he intended to live hereafter. However, inevitable fate decided otherwise, and during last February he suffered a severe attack of Brights’ Disease of the kidneys, that cut the roots of his young life and he has departed to the Great Beyond.
