Mrs. Thomas Weakland passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 9th. The funeral took place yesterday morning from the Catholic church. We will publish an obituary of deceased later.

WEAKLAN,
Mrs. Catharine Weaklan, wife of Thomas Weaklan, died at her home In Hew Oregon township, Tuesday, May 9, 1905, as the result of a cold contracted during the winter.
Mrs. Weaklan, whose maiden name was glass, was born in Indiana county,Pa., July l8, 1836. She was married to Thomas Weaklan November 22, 1859, at Carrolltown, Pa., where they lived until October 1864, when they removed to Howard county, Iowa, settling on a farm in New Oregon township where she lived at the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband and six children, four sons and two daughters, one son having died about two years ago. The funeral was held Thursday, May 11th, at the church of the Assumption at Cresco, Iowa, and the remains laid to rest in St. Joseph's cemetery,Transcriber’s Note: Her last name is spelled two different ways; however, her gravestone shows a third spelling - Weaklen.
