Adell Jones, age 98, passed away at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco, Iowa on Sunday, October 28, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the Lime Springs United Methodist Church in Lime Springs. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.

Adell was born at the family farm located northeast of Lime Springs, Iowa on November 30, 1919 to Griff and Sarah (Price) Jones. She was the youngest of three children.

She graduated from the Lime Springs High School in 1938 and then attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines, Iowa. Adell then went to work at Town Mutual Dwelling Insurance Company which later merged with Allied Mutual Insurance. She became Head of the Endorsement Department until she took an early retirement after serving 29 years with the company to return to the family farm to be with her brother, Price after the death of their sister, Pearl.

Adell was baptized and joined the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lime Springs and served as Elder of the Church. After the closing of the church in 1994, she joined the Lime Springs United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed traveling on her vacations and after returning to the farm, trips were taken to the East Coast, Colorado, Florida, California, Alaska, Hawaii and a trip abroad to Europe. She also enjoyed bowling and outdoor activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Griff and Sarah Jones, a sister, Pearl and her brother, Price Jones.
