Lucille Warnke, age 89, of Cresco passed away on October 30, 2018 at Wellington Place in Decorah, Iowa. Funeral service will be on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11 am at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco, Iowa. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.

Lucille Elizabeth Warnke was born to Arthur E. K. and Emma (Wermuth) Warnke on November 14, 1928. She was baptized on December 9, 1928. On March 29, 1942 she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith by the Rev Paul C Leetz at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lime Springs.

She graduated from Lime Springs High School in 1947. In her early years she taught Sunday School and led Bible study in her church circle.
Lucille was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and nature. She lived a simple life and always liked giving to others.

Survivors include one sister, Ellen Kirkestue of Postville, Iowa, one niece, Sue (Alan) Mork and two nephews; Milton (Jeanette) Kirkestue and Kenneth (Ann Marie) Kirkestue.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Paul and Eugene, and a brother-in-law, Edwin Kirkestue.
