Mrs. Cunningham Dead.
Mrs. C. F. Miller received a telegram last evening announcing the death of her mother, Mrs. Sopronia Cunningham, at Perham, Minn. She had intended coming to Cresco last Tuesday, but wrote that she was hardly well enough to come then, but nothing serious, and her death was sudden and unexpected. C. F. Miller left immediately for Perham and is expected to return with the remains on Thursday afternoon, the funeral being held at the Episcopal church immediately after the arrival of the train.

OBITUARY
Sophrona A. Averill, the daughter of Leristin and Elizabeth Averill, was born on the 26th day of September, 1835, at La Grange, Cattaraugus Co., New York. She was united in marriage to Hiram C. Cunningham at Niagara Falls in the fall of 1858. To this union was born two children, one son who died in infancy, and one daughter, Dolly Elizabeth, wife of C. F. Miller, of this city. She and her husband moved west in 1867, to Howard County, and has been a resident here ever since, except a few years spent on a homestead in Ottertail county, Minn.
She died very suddenly at Perham, Minn., on Monday, Oct 10th.
She leaves a daughter, grandson and a brother, Bern Averill, of Canton, S. D., to mourn her loss.
When about 18 years of age, she became a member of the Episcopal church and has since been a faithful member.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon in the Episcopal church, Rev. McVettie, of Decorah, officiating. The interment was in New Oregon cemetery, where husband and parents are sleeping.
