OBITUARY.
Margery Connery was born in county Derry, Ireland, in 1818. She was united in marriage to Patrick Kane in 1845, whose death occurred in 1868. She came to America in 1877 and after a residence in Baltimore came to Howard county and lived with her daughter Mrs. M. Connors at whose home she died February 29, 1904, aged 86 years. She was fortified by the last last[SIC} rites of the Catholic church and died surrounded by her son John Kane her daughter Mrs. Connors, Mr. Connors and five of her grandchildren. Rev. J. J. Nelson was present also.
She was the mother of eight children five of whom are living, Peter Kane, of Leadville, Colorado, Mike Kane of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. John Lang, of San Francisco, Ca., and John Kane and Mrs. Connors of Maple Leaf. The funeral was held from the church of Our Lady of Lourdes at Lourdes, Wednesday, March 2, at 10;30, services being conducted by Rev. J. J. Nelson.— Elma New Era.
