OBITUARY.
Margaret Louisa Duff was born May 10, 1834, in London, England, and came to Howard county in 1861. December 13, 1863, she was married to Ezra M. Cole and to them were born four daughters; Mrs. Nellie Hunt, of Nebraska; Mrs. Fannie Pritchard, of Sioux City, Ia.; Bertha and Lizzie, of Cresco, and one son, Eddie, also residing at home, all of whom were in attendance at the funeral.
She died Oct. 3rd, after a few days of severe illness, although she has been in precarious health for several years.
An only sister, Mrs. Fannie Marshall, of San Jose, California, with the husband and children remain to mourn the loss of a loving sister, a true wife and a good mother and companion.
She was a lifelong member of the Episcopal church, but long continued ill health had kept her from the enjoyment of its privileges for several years.
Funeral services were held at the family residence on the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 5, Rev. C. A. Marshall and Rev. John Gammons, officiating. The interment was in New Oregon Cemetery.

Transcriber's Note: New Oregon Cemetery records indicate she died Oct. 2 which also agrees with being a Friday.
