OBITUARY.
ADAMS.
ON Saturday afternoon, Sept. 19th., Wm. Edward Adams, an old and highly respected citizen of this community passed away at the residence of Bant Rygg, at Granger, Minn.
Mr. Adams had reached the ripe age of eighty-four and during the last few years of life has been an invalid, being a patient sufferer with dropsy.
William Edward Adams was born at Glenn Falls, .N Y., Dec. 15, 1819, and was united in marriage Nov. 8, 1844, to Miss Cordelia A. Jones,
In 1855 Mr. and Mrs. Adams came west to seek a home and was one of the pioneer families of this locality making their permanent home in Florenceville, Ia.
In 1899 Mrs. Adams was called to to{sic{ her final rest, having spent fifty-six years of her wedded life with her kind and loving husband.
Mr. Adams leaves one son, two daughters, three grandchildren and one sister to mourn his loss.
Uncle Adams was a kind and loving parent, and an excellent neighbor and citizen and his familiar face will be missed from our midst
The funeral services were held at the Granger M. E church, Tuesday, Sept 22, Rev. Gammons, of Cresco, officiating, and was attended by a large circle of relatives and friends.
The remains were laid to rest In Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Adams had lived in the family of Mr. Rygg for several years and had excellent care during all those years.
