OBITUARY.
HAUBRIC.
Catherine Rush was born in Germany, January 9, 1826, and died in Cresco August 6,1903. In 1850 she was married to Joseph Haubrlc and with him came to the United States in 1870, locating soon thereafter at Old Mission in Winneshiek county, Iowa, re-moving to Cresco about three months ago. They celebrated their golden wedding at St Lucas in 1900. Her aged husband who is about 83 years of age, and the following children survive her (two children dying in Germany), Peter Haubrlc, Chicago; Anna T. Smith, Fort Atkinson; John Haubric, Carroll county, Iowa; Mrs. Kate Steffes, Martin Haubrlc, Joe Haubric and Mrs. Dena Rink, Cresco.
The children were all present and assisted her during her long illness, and at her funeral on Saturday a very large procession following her remains to their resting place in St. Joseph cemetery. She had been a consistent member of the Catholic church from her youth and was a good Christian wife and mother, loved and respected by all who knew her.
