STEFFES.
William M. Steffes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm Steffes, was born March 4, 1886, at the Old Mission in Winneshiek county, and died of peritonitis at the home of his parents, in Cresco, Tuesday morning, Aug. 4th, 1903, aged 17 years and five months.
The deceased came to his parents to Cresco about two years ago, since which time he has attended our public schools, and last winter took a course in mechanics, afterwards working as engineer at the brick and tile works.
The funeral was held on Thursday, Aug. 6th, from the German Catholic church, of which the deceased was a faithful and conscientious member, interment being in New Oregon cemetery.

An error unaccountably appeared in one of our obituary notices in last issue. The place of burial of William M. Steffes was given as New Oregon cemetery, instead of St. Josephs cemetery.
