John Enright.
John Enright was born in county Limerick, Ireland, in 1819, and died at his home in Howard township, Howard county, Iowa, Feb. 11, 1903. Mr. Enright went to Canada in 1843. He was married to Elizabeth O’Donnell in Hamilton county, Canada, in 1843. They moved to Howard county, Iowa, in 1857. Deceased is survived by his faithful and aged wife, four children, one son and three daughters, J. F. Enright of this county, Mrs. Mary Ryan of Colorado, and Mrs. Kate O’Brien and Mrs. Elizabeth Dinger, both of this county. Mr. Enright was a man of many good qualities, upright, honest, industrious and frugal. He was educated, we believe, in the city of London, and all through his long and useful life kept himself well informed concerning men and matters of importance, he was a faithful member of the Catholic church and was never known to defraud anyone of their just dues, and was widely noted for his generous hospitality. He was one of the typical pioneers, who helped to develope this country in its early days, and his memory will long be cherished by the many friends. Funeral services were held at Lourdes, Saturday, Feb. 14. Father Nelson conducted the services. Solemn high mass was sung.-New Era
