We regret to chronicle the untimely death of our friend and neighbor, Matt Markowatz, who died suddenly Thursday Aug. 14 in his bed. His wife got up about 5o’clock, and noticed him to move as to turn over. She went to build the fire for the morning meal. Going into the bedroom again in about fifteen minutes, found him dead. Dr. Barrett of Cresco was called immediately, only to view a corpse. It was heart trouble the Dr. declared.
