Marlon, age 56, of Lime Springs, IA died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his shop in Chester, Iowa.

Timothy “Marlon” Jay Brandau was born August 6, 1961 in Osage, Iowa to Jerald Brandau and Sandra (Kallestad) Brandau. He attended Riceville High School. Marlon's mom stated he was born with dirty hands and everyone that knew him, knew this would never change. He spent his life doing things he enjoyed. From every size and make of motorcycle, to every size and model of Caterpillars. His favorite past time was spending days on end in his shop “piddle farting around” restoring antique bulldozers, trucks, and motorcycles. He enjoyed traveling to out of the way antique stores, junk yards and fields, always hoping to bring home that good deal.

He is survived by Kristy “The best wife he never had,” his parents Jerry Brandau and Sandra Brandau both of Cresco, sisters Naomi Brandau of Spring Valley, Holly (Joe) Mooney of Lone Tree, brother Troy Brandau of Cresco, one son Brian (Loralei) Brandau, and granddaughter Cora of Riceville, one daughter Autumn Horsman of Stewartville, nephews Dalton, Dylan and Justin, and one niece Autumn.

Marlon was preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother Todd.
