Funeral services for Hazel Rassman were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 16 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco with Pastor Allen E. Hermeier officiating. Pallbearers were: Anthony Kuhn, Pat Donovan, Dwayne Hauber, Eugene Gunhus, Arnold Peter, and Jerry Souhrada.
Hazel, 91, died Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County.
Hazel J. Rassman was born December 24, 1910 in Howard County, the daughter of George and Carrie (Schumann) Nieberline.
On June 25, 1930 she married Will Rassman at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco. They farmed in Howard and Winneshiek Counties until 1970 when they retired and moved to Cresco.
She is survived by her husband Will of Cresco; one son: William Jr. of Ridgeway; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Hazel was preceded in death by one grandson; her parents; one brother: Edward; and three sisters: Irene Chilson, Edna Johnson, and Esther Bigalk.
