Funeral services for Marion Ollendieck were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9 at the St. Joseph’s Worship Center with Rev. Henry W. Charipar officiating. In¬terment was in Calvary Cemetery in Cresco. The entire family of brothers and sisters will place the pall. Pallbearers were her five brothers, with one nephew Paul Ollendieck standing in for his father. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Marion, 67, died Monday, April 1, 2002 at the Cresco Care Center where she has made her home since 1974.
Marion Cecelia Ollendieck was born September 25, 1934 at Cresco, the daughter of Bernard C. and Irma M. (Fritz) Ollendieck. She was baptized and confirmed in her faith at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cresco, where she has been a lifetime member. She attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and graduated from Notre Dame High School.
Marion had epilepsy most of her life and she stayed home to help her parents take care of their home. When her parents could no longer help care for her, she entered the care center.
She is survived by five brothers: Don, Richard, and Dean, all of Cresco, Charles of Palm Harbor, FL, and Kenneth of Buckingham; four sisters: Doris Ferrie, Jean McCarville, and Judy Tucker, all of Cresco, and Joyce Sweeney of Waterloo.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother: Robert.
