Services held for Eunella Dempewolf
Funeral services for Eunella Dempewolf of Waterloo were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 14 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, St. John Site in Waterloo. Interment was at 2:00 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery in Cresco. Hagarty-Waycoff-Grarup Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
Eunella, 91, died Sunday, November 10, 2002 at her home.
Eunella R. Dempewolf was born June 19, 1911 in Cresco, the daughter of Carl E. and Rose E. (Riehle) Herold.
On April 21, 1931 she married Theodore J. Dempewolf in Cresco. He died September 29, 1986.
She is survived by four daughters: Joanne Sutton, Patricia Miller, Sandra Turner, and Cindy Verbeck, all of Waterloo; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Cyril of Oskaloosa and Elmore and Edward, both of Waterloo; and three sisters: Ruth Ratkovich of Waterloo, Luella Burnikel of Cresco, and Lillian Daughenbaugh of Downey, CA.
Eunella was preceded in death by her husband Theodore; one son: Arden; two daughters: Janice Dempewolf and Karen Scully; one brother: Wilford; and one sister: Rose Harkness.
