A. STIMPSON
was born in the state of Maine and died at Mankato, Minnesota, May 27, 1889, at the home of his daughter. M’s. Geo. Reedfield, aged 71 years, 1 month and 27 days. Mr. Stimpson had been a resident of Howard county 29 years. His occupation was traveling for a medicine firm for which he served for 38 years. Mrs. Stimpson is at Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, caring for her aged father, but with all the children was present at his burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery where he was laid to rest last Monday after a short funeral service held in the cemetery by the Rev. W. K. Lane. The surviving children are Mrs. Geo. Reedfield, of Mankato, Minn., Mrs. D. W. Salisbury and Mrs. Elbert Fravel, of Cresco, and Orie B. Stimpson, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Stimpson was a good man and citizen in all the relations of life highly esteemed and respected by all who knew him.Transcriber’s Note: Cemetery records indicate this was Alexander. His gravestone dates don’t agree with the age as shown above.
