Myrna Weaver, 74, Tama
Myrna M. Weaver, age 74, of Tama, was born on February 6, 1927, in Lourdes, Iowa, the daughter of Patrick and Blanche Halpin McGrane, and died on December 26, 2001, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama, Iowa.
Funeral services were December 29, 2001 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Churchin Tama, Iowa with Father Keith Birch officiating. Interment was in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
She graduated from the Immaculate Conception High School in Elma, Iowa.
In 1946, she married Willard Swacker. He passed away in January of 1950. On January 15, 1953, she married Harold Weaver in Elma, Iowa. Harold passed away on April 5, 2001.
Myrna was a long time custodian at the St. Patrick Catholic Church and school in Tama. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling and numerous church activities. She was also active in Camp Fire Girls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Willard Swacker and Harold Weaver; one daughter, Linda Swacker in infancy; one son, Patrick Weaver; and one sister, Lilas Swacker.
Myrna is survived by one daughter, Clara Boldt and husband Fred of Toledo; two sons, Al Weaver and wife Connie of Gilman, and Chuck Weaver of Tama; one daughter-in-law, Karen Weaver of Tama; one daughter-in-law, Karen Weaver; one brother, Max McGrane of Fairbank, Iowa; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
