Richard Watts, 70, services held
Funeral services for Richard E. Watts of Salinas, CA were held on Friday, August 3, at VFW Post 7895 in Salinas. He was cremated and inurnment was in San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA.
Richard, 70, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at Natividad Medical Center in Salinas following an illness.
He was born in Cresco and has lived there most of his life. He has lived in Salinas for the last 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Veterans of Foregin{sic} Wars Post 7895, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 101, and the American Legion 589, all in Salinas, CA.
He is survived by two daughters: Judy Woldum of Fullerton and Ellen Lenk of Spanaway, WA; three sons: Jeff of Tacoma, WA and Pat and Mike both of Puyallup, WA; three brothers: William and Donald both of Iowa, and Art of Illinois; three sisters: Louise Sweaney and Viola Kerr, both of Iowa, and Mildred Olson of Illinois; and nine grandchildren.
