Lula Randak, 95, services held
Funeral services for Lula Randak of Cresco were held on Wednesday, January 24 at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Joseph’s Worship Center. Rev. Henry W. Charipar officiated. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Cresco. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Lula, 95, died Saturday, January 20, 2001 at the Regional Health Services Hospital in Cresco.
Lula A. Randak was the youngest of 13 children born to Frank and Anna (Jarosh) Landa on June 20, 1905 near Little Turkey. She attended rural school and helped out at home.
On August 19, 1924 she married Anton Randak at Little Turkey. They made their home on the farm until Anton retired and they moved into Cresco.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Altar and Rosary Society, had many different types of employment, loved flowers and gardening and playing cards.
Survivors include four daughters Helen Craft of Cresco, Marcella Halweg of San Diego, CA, Dorothy Randak of Cresco, and Irene Kramer of San Diego, CA; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-
grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild.
Lula was preceded in death by her husband Anton on March 4, 1990; two grandchildren; her parents; seven sisters: Anna Pechota, Bessie Praska, Rose Taylor, Frances Riha, Mary Sindelar, Christine Lasek, and Philomena Stika; and five brothers: Joseph and Charles as infants, and John, Frank, and Dan.
