Charlotte Pelton services held
Funeral services for Charlotte Pelton were held on Friday, August 10 at the United Methodist Church in Cresco with interment in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco. Rev. Lewis Flanigan officiated. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Charlotte, 72, died Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at the New Hampton Care Center in New Hampton.
Charlotte LuVerne Pelton was born October 23, 1928 in Rockford, the daughter of Charles and Claribel (Gager) Pelton. She graduated from Cresco High School. She earned a teaching degree and started teaching in the country schools in Howard County. Later she taught at the fairgrounds school and also at the South Ward School.
She enjoyed traveling and playing bridge.
She was also active in her church and in many community activities and clubs, including Twentieth Century and Wa tan ye.
She is survived by one sister: Emma Jean Flatjord of rural Lawler.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
