James Gardner, 61, services held
Funeral services for James (Jim) Gardner of San Salvador, El Salvador, formerly of Elma, were held on November 2 in San Salvador.
James, 61; died Wednesday, October 31, 2001 in San Salvador of cancer.
James Gardner was born April 9, 1940 in Waterville. He was raised by John and Vivian Gardner in Elma. He was a 1957 graduate of Immaculate Conception Academy in Elma. James worked for Senac Shoe Co. in St. Louis for 30 years and in 1990 he was transferred to El Salvador where he continued in the same business.
He is survived by his wife Maria of El Salvador; three children: Steve, Ashley, and Christopher; two sisters: Ann Bunten of Harvard, IL and Mary Jane Palmersheim of Elma; and eight brothers: Bill of Forest Lake, IL, Tom of Cedar Rapids, Greg of Mason City, Charles of Robins, Pat of Cedar Rapids, Kevin of Baltimore, MD, Nick of Marion, and Randy also of Marion.
James was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Rick.

James (Jim) Gardner, 61

Services were held for James (Jim) Gardner on Monday, November 2, 2001 in San Salvador.

Jim was formerly of Elma and died on Wednesday, October 31, in San Salvador of cancer.
