Services to be held for G.A. Fall
Funeral services for G.A. “Gary” Fall of Des Moines will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 13 at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Westover Funeral Home.
Gary, 81, died Sunday, December 9, 2001 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of respiratory failure.
G. A. Fall was born in Lime Springs and was raised in northeast Iowa.
He served in the Navy during WWII and Korea. He was employed at Northland Dairy and then at MacMillan Oil Company as vice president before he retired.
Gary was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Des Moines and the Izaak Walton League also in Des Moines.
He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy May of Des Moines; one daughter: Cheryl Creed of West Des Moines; one son: Gary of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.
