ELMA - Anna C. Dybevik, 90, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001 at Mercy Medical Center, New Hampton of natural causes.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Elma with' Reverend Maurice Lind officiating. Konnie Schmidt will be the organist and will accompany soloist Jim Johnson singing "In The Garden" and "How Great Thou Art".
Burial will be at a later date in New Oregon Cemetery, Cresco with Bruce Spalding, Isaiah Dybevik, Darren Streich, Darwin Streich, Ryan Dybevik and Jeff Schwake serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Charles and Ilene Larson.
Visitation was from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 at Conway Funeral Home, Elma and also an hour prior to services at the church.
Anna Catherine Dybevik was born March 15, 1910 near Alta Vista, the daughter of Samuel, and Ida (Schaffer) Beaston. She attended country school near her home. She married John "Joe" Dybevik on Sept. 22, 1927. The couple lived in Sidney and then farmed in the Lourdes area until December 1966. The couple then moved to Cresco where Anna worked in housekeeping at the Evans Home until her retirement in the early 80s when she moved to Elma. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed Volunteering with meal sites and part of the Colonial Manor Auxiliary.

Governor Branstad presented her the Governor's 1991 Volunteer Award for all of her volunteer service to her community. She also made hundreds of quilt tops for St. Peter's Lutheran Church Missions.
Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn Partelow, Tuckerton, NJ, Carol Schwake, Elma and Karen Streich, Charles City; three sons, Donald (Jackie) Dybevik, Elma; Daryl (Janice) Dybevik, Cresco and Gayle (Diane) Dybevik, Bondurant; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John (Joe) in 1975; one son, Oliver; two granddaughters; one grandson and 12 brothers and sisters.
