Mr. Adam Frank was born June 29, at Wiesweiler, Germany. From his 6th to his 15th year, he attended the public school in Germany; and served his country as a soldier when twenty years old.
In 1855 he left the old country and came to the United States, first settling in New Oregon township. There he was married to Mary Selmen when thirty years old, and this marriage was blessed with six children, all living. For thirteen happy years lasted this marriage, then his wife died and he was a widower for several years. December 3, 1877, he married Mary Klassak. In this marriage a son was given to him, his youngest child.
About two weeks before Easter, his last sickness began and ended in his death the morning of June 5th. The funeral service took place in the Paris M. E. church, Rev. Niedermier officiating.
Mr. Frank led an honorable, Christian life and was honored by all who knew him.
