OBITUARY.
LICKTEIGAnton Lickteig was born in 1854 at Donseaders, Germany, and passed away on Friday, Jan. 31st, 1913, at the home of his son Joseph. About 18 years of age he sustained a fall and has been an invalid ever since.
In 1873 he immigrated to America, remaining in New York city for two years before coming to Howard county, which had been his home ever since. Nov. 20, 1877, he was united in marrriage to Mary A. Lickteig, and to them three sons and four daughters, were born, all of whom are living, and residing in this vicinity, viz: Frank J., Poter H., Joseph A., Mrs. Chas. Kapier, Mrs. Joe Baker, Mrs. Peter Schneider and Mrs. Frank Baker.
In addition to the wife and children he leaves to mourn his loss two brothers, George, of Austin. Minn., and John, of Germany, a sister, Mrs. Neufeldt, of Cleveland, Ohio, and eleven grandchildren.
The funeral took place last Monday morning at St. Joseph's church, conducted by Father Wagner, with interment in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
