Gladice Borseth, 81, of Cresco, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco, Iowa.
Gladice was born in rural Howard County, Iowa on January 21, 1930, the daughter of Fred and Louise (Ratz) Peter. She attended rural schools in the Cresco area and graduated from Cresco High School. After earning a teaching certificate from Luther College, Gladice taught at rural grade schools until she married. In later years, she worked at Jack & Jill grocery, Harrison\'s Variety Store, and as an assistant at Foley Chiropractic Clinic.
She married Melvin Borseth in Cresco, Iowa on October 7, 1952. They were married for 53 years until his death in 2006.
Gladice was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the V.F.W. Auxilliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Tate of Lawrence, KS; a brother, Jerry (Janice) Peter of Dubuque, IA; a sister, Vera Price of Cresco; sisters-in-law, Irene Slifka and Lucy Borseth of Cresco; brother-in-law, Dan Slifka of Cresco, and Lyola McGee of Gilbertville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters Viola Peter and Marion McGee; a brother, Mike Peter; and her parents.

Memorials:
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Gladice's memory to Evans Memorial Home PR Committee, the First Lutheran Church, or an organization of the donor's choice.

Cemetery:
A private inurnment will be at a later date in New Oregon Cemetery in rural Cresco, Iowa.

Visitation:
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.

Service:
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Cresco, Iowa.
