Funeral services for Clement Ryan were held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, January 6 at Assumption Catholic Church in Cresco. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Cresco. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Clement, 92, died Monday, January 3, 2000 at Regional Health Services Hospital in Cresco.
Clement G. Ryan was born May 16, 1907 in Winneshiek County, the son of George F. and Stasia (Doherty) Ryan. He attended rural schools in Winneshiek County. He did factory work in Chicago and then road construction in the Winneshiek County area.
On June 10, 1937 he married Ruth Albertson at St. Agnes church at Plymouth Rock. They farmed in Winneshiek County then moved to their present farm in Howard County in 1944.
Survivors include his wife Ruth; one daughter Edna Huss of Jesup; two sons: Wayne and Norbert both of Cresco; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother: Francis of Cresco.
Clement was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Gerald, Floyd, Phillip and Clarence; aid four sisters: Leone, Angie, Madeline and Gladys.
