JACKSON JUNCTION - Clarence Rausch, 80, died Saturday, Feb. 19 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN following a brief illness.

Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Waucoma, with Rev. Ray Ludwig officiating, with Rev. Vincent Simon and Rev. Allen Schmitt concelebrating. Rick Mihm was lector and mass servers were April Balk, Brent Balk and Marshall Rogne.

Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Waucoma, with Chris Rogne, Cary Huinker, Carl Kriener, Tom Schiriitt, Dan Busta and Randy Kuennen as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Alvin Myers, George Hackman, Greg Kriener, Don Deeny, Bernard Deeny and Wayne Anfinson.

Visitation was after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the Waucoma Funeral Chapel with a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters Rosary, 6 p.m. Scripture Service and 7 p.m. Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary.

Clarence Melvin Rausch was born Aug. 3, 1919 at Fort Atkinson, the son of Leo and Agnes (Haas) Rausch. He attended Waucoma High School. Clarence was united in marriage with Colette Mihm at St. Mary's Church on June 24, 1942. He was a retired farmer, the couple having lived on the same farm all their married life. He also was a carpenter and a bus driver for Turkey Valley Community Schools for 16 years. Clarence served on the Jackson Junction Town Council and was Mayor for 14 years. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Waucoma Jolly Old Timers.

Survivors include his wife, Colette; three daughters, JoAnn Stone, Minneapolis, MN, Judy (Larry) DeSloover, Waucoma, Joyce (Dennis) Rogne, Cresco; five grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
