Funeral services for Gayle Pruitt were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24 at the Conway Funeral Home in Cresco with the Rev. Jonathon Loper officiating. Pall bearers were nephews: James Aberg, Donald Aberg, Kirk Aberg, John Blaser, Michael Blaser, Lynn Blaser, Doug Blaser, Robert Blaser, Duane Bakke and David Bakke.
Gayle died Thursday, September 21, 2000, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN, at the age of 63.
Gayle Frances (Blaser) Pruitt was born September 6, 1937 in Cresco the daughter of Ernest and Delia F. (Davis) Blaser. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco. She attended school in Cresco and graduated from the Cresco High School in 1955.
On September 2, 1961 she married Gary Pruitt in Mountain Home, ID. Gary was in the service at this time so they made their home in Alaska, North Dakota and finally settled in Mountain Home, ID. Gayle worked as a secretary for the Farm Bureau in Mt. Home for 19 years before her retirement. It was only five weeks ago she decided to return to her home area and live near her sister in Lanesboro, MN.
Gayle is survived by: four grandchildren; one brother: Eugene Blaser of Cedar Falls; and one sister: Catherine Bakke of Lanesboro,
MN.She was preceded in death by her husband Gary, August 26, 1991; her parents; her step-father; two brothers: Gordon and Donald Blaser; and one sister: Dorothy Aberg.
