ELMA — Melissa Palmersheim, 16, Atkins, died Saturday, March 4 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines of comlications following an automobile accident which took place in early January.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 8 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Newhall.

Visitation was held from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 7 at the Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.

Melissa, the daughter of Joseph and Joni Palmersheim, formerly of Elma, was a junior at Benton Community High School, Van Horne.

Surviving are her parents, Joseph and Joni Palmersheim; two Brothers, Dustin and Casey;
grandparents, Delberta Palmersheim, Lois and Jack McAvoy, all of Elma.
