NEW HAMPTON - Dale L. Morris, 49, Ardmore, OK, died Thursday, June 22 of natural causes at Veterans Administration Hospital, Wichita, KS.

Funeral services were Monday, June 26 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Hampton with Reverend Marvin Salz presiding. Lisa and Lindsey Tilkes were servers. Ann Bennett was organist and accompanied the church choir. Soloists were Danielle and Leslie Mihm. Jim Mihm was lector and Felicitas Steffen was eucharistic minister. Family members placed the pall and were gift bearers.

Interment was in Howard Cemetery, Elma with nephews Jason and Ben Morris, Chris Mihm, Adam Block, D.J. Morris and Justin Kleinschmidt serving as casket bearers. Military graveside services were accorded by members of the John Frahm American Legion Post 597, Elma.

Visitation was from 4 to 8 .m. Sunday, June 25 at Conway Funeral Home, New Hampton where there was a 7:30 p.m. scripture service.

Dale L. Morris was born Feb. 2, 1951 in Cresco, the son of Robert and Ann (Reicherts) Morris. After his schooling, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving for 12 years. He was married to Barbara Brincks at St. Joseph Church, New Hampton. They were later divorced. He was a graduate of Mid America Mortuary College, Jefferson, IN where he received his degree in funeral science. He served as a funeral director in South Dakota, Iowa, Kansas and later Oklahoma. He was presently a funeral director on the staff of Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Funeral Home in Ardmore, OK.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Deanna) Morris and Christopher Morris, both of Belleville, KS; two daughters, Dawn (John) Fuhrman, Wichita, KS and Wendy Morris, Belleville, KS; two grandchildren, Nicole and Andrea Fuhrman; his mother, Ann Whitnable, New Hampton; three brothers, Duane Morris, Bennett; Dean and Alan Morris, both of New Hampton; four sisters, Marilyn Mihm, Waucoma; Patricia Wilharm, LeRoy, MN, Debra Block, Orchard and Catherine Kleinschmidt, Austin, MN.

Preceding him in death were a son Tony in infancy and his father, Robert Morris.
