Funeral services for Bernice Medhaug were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 15 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Waterloo. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Cresco. Hagarty-Waychoff- Grarup Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Bernice, 84, died Thursday, May 11, 2000 at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

Bernice V. Medhaug was born February 1, 1916 in Cresco, the daughter of Joseph and Blanche (Grebin) Ahern.
On November 5, 1989 she married Howard Medhaug in Osage.

Bernice is survived by her husband; one step-son: Jim Tullis of Ann Arbor, MI; two step-daughters: Shirley Sharp of Rochester, MN and Cynthia Stewart of Cedar Falls; seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one brother: Don of St. Paul, MN; and two sisters: Vivian Viskocil of Osage and Doris Thompson of Savannah, GA.

Bernice was preceded in death by a sister, Maureen Dee and one brother, Vergil Ahern.
