NEW HAMPTON - Elaine Kobliska, 31, New Hampton, died Thursday, Feb. 3 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo of injuries sustained in a car/pedestrian accident.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7 at Immaculate Conception Church in Elma with Rev. Roger R. Rethamel presiding. Theresa Burke was organist and accompanied the Resurrection Choir. Eric and Craig Kobliska were mass servers and Edna Reicks was lector. Gift bearers were Elaine's sisters and her mother and sisters placed the pall.

Interment was in St. Patrick's Cemetery at St. Cecelia with Steve and Sheila Kobliska, Bob Messersmith, Dawn Schultz, Jan Crandall and Garry McGee serving as casket bearers.

Visitation was after 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6 at Conway Funeral Home in Elma, with a 4 p.m. Rosary and 7 p.m. Scripture Service.

Elaine Frances Kobliska was born March 11, 1968 in Osage, the daughter of Francis and Shirley (Rilling) Kobliska. She graduated from New Hampton High School in 1986. After her schooling, she spent several years as a nanny in Baltimore and Minnesota. She moved back to New Hampton in 1992. While in New Hampton, Elaine was a baby sitter for her sisters' children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed riding her Tricycle.

Surviving are her mother, Shirley, Charles City; three sisters, Doris Kobliska, Iowa City, Rose (Roger) Heying, Alta Vista, Judy (Joe) Scholbrock, New Hampton; two nieces, Lindsey Heying and Jina Scholbrock; two nephews, Nicholas Heying and Joseph Scholbrock.

Preceding her in death were her father, Francis in 1992; one brother, Edward in 1966; maternal grandparents, Nick and Lottie Rilling; paternal grandparents, Frank and Rose Kobliska.
