Services held for Edward Kobliska, 82

Edward J. Kobliska, 82, of Alta Vista, died Tuesday, July 11, 2000
of Parkinsons Disease at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Funeral services were Sat., July 15, at Immaculate Conception Church in Elma with Rev. Roger R. Rethamel presiding. Burial was in St. Cecelia Cemetery with Conway -Funeral Home handling arrangements.

Edward J. Kobliska was born January 21, 1918 at the home of his parents near Alta Vista, the son of John and Josie (Rouchka) Kobliska. He was married to Rita Kuehn November 10, 1941 at North Washington. Following their marriage, they farmed in the Alta Vista area until his health failed and he retired in 1976. He was a lifelong member of St. Patricks Church of St. Cecelia.

Surviving are his wife, Rita; five sons: Clarence of Alta Vista, Raymond and John, both of Elma, Leonard of Raymond and Vince of Waterloo; four daughters: Dorothy Holder of Tampa, Flor., Lucille Curtis of Shell Rock, Alice O’Tool of Nora Springs, Joan Kobliska of Alta Vista; 20 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; six great-grandchildren; one brother, William, of Alta Vista; one sister, Rosella Shekleton of New Hampton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
