Services were held Wednesday, March 1 in LeRoy Lutheran Church for JoEtta H. Dohlman, 62, Chester, Iowa resident, who died Sunday night, Feb. 27, 2000, in St. Mary's emergency room in Rochester.

The Revs. Tom Kolden and Rhea Evanson officiated at the 1 p.m. services. Interment was in the church cemetery.

JoEtta Wierson was born July 26, 1937, daughter of Marion and Cordelia Wierson at Roland, Iowa. She attended LeRoy High School and graduated with the Class of 1955. June 10, 1955 she was united in marriage to Floyd Dohlman at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

JoEtta worked at a variety of jobs and was currently employed at Laddy's Bar and Grill as a cook and bartender. She was widely known for her "fish" on Friday nights. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Connie (Rick) Granahan, LeRoy; William Dohlman, at Red Wing Care Center; Rhonda (John) Larson, Chester, Iowa; Sandra (Joe) Burke, Lime Springs, Iowa; Pam Edwards, Chester; Iowa and Valerie (David) Schroeder, Elma, Iowa. Also 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also four sisters, Charlotte Sandve, Ames, Iowa; Helen Swenson and Norma Stevens, both of LeRoy and Marlene Kellogg, Taopi; one brother, Jerry Wierson, Ostrander, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd, in 1990; a son-in-law and an infant son.

Hindt-Hutchins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
