Funeral services for Dale Dodd were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 6 at First Baptist Church in Cresco. The Rev. Frank Fagerburg officiated. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lime Springs. Pall bearers were: Richard Solomon, Darwin Kuecker, Kenneth Solomon, Frank Williams, Shirley Bigalk, and Sharon Solomon. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Dale, 66, died Friday, March 3, 2000 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County in Cresco.

Dale Edward Dodd was born February 27, 1934 in Howard County, the son of Cecil and Elsie (Letcher) Dodd. He has been a resident of the Howard Residential Care Facility since 1956 where his mother also resided until her death.

Dale loved animals; especially a stray dog he adopted named Blackie. He helped on the farm with chores, until the farm operation was changed and the county no longer had cattle. He has been employed at Spectrum Recycling for the last few years.

Survivors include one sister: Frances; and one brother Dean.
