Memorial service to be held

A Memorial Service for Binnie Lou Brush, formerly of Cresco and Ainsworth, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26 at Oakwood United Methodist Church, in Pleasant Hill.
Binnie died June 19, 2000 in a hiking accident in the San Pedro Mountains near the Christ in the Desert Monastery of Abiquiu, NM.

She was a 1968 graduate of Highland Community High School of Riverside. She attended Simpson College and graduated cum laude with a BA in Art Education from Iowa State University. She was employed as an educator, graphic artist and free lancer.

Survivors include her parents Jeane and George Brush of Pleasant Hill; three brothers: George of Elkhorn, NE, Iven and Carl both of Des Moines; and one sister: Brooksie Miller of Essex.
