Alice Buchanan, 72, services held

Commital services for Alice Buchanan of Darlington, WI, formerly of Cresco and Warren,, IL will be held today, Wednesday, September 13, at New Oregon Cemetery in Cresco. Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Alice, 72, died Sunday, September 10, 2000 at the Darlington Manor Nursing Home

Alice J. Buchanan was born April 22, 1928 in War, WV, the daughter of Wallace and Alice Lee (Krieb) Fletcher.

On December 9, 1946 she married Tamcy G. Buchanan Sr. They owned and operated the Stagecoach Inn in Nora, IL and the Driftwood Cafe in Warren, IL.

Alice was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Cresco. She was a member of the Church of God in Warren and Cresco.

Survivors include three daughters: Missuria Fox of Warren, IL, Cynthia Ducak of Gurnee, IL, and Donna Ernst of Marcus; two sons: Tamcy G. Jr. of Johsburg, IL and F. Arnold of Deerfield, IL; 18 grandchildren; 11 great¬grandchildren; two sisters: Lucy McNeely of Cincinnati, OH and Berthie Hood of Blue Field, WV; and two brothers: James of Cresco and Robert of Blue Field, WV.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Tamcy; one son: Eddie; three grandsons; her parents; one sister: Helen Cleary; and one brother: John.
