Graveside services for Collin Broadwater were held on Monday, August 21 at 9:30 a.m. at Willamette National Cemetery. Canby Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.

Collin, 80, died Thursday, August 17, 2000 in Canby, OR.

Collin Clair Broadwater was born September 19, 1919 in rural Harmony, MN, the son of William H. and Nellie (Whelan) Broadwater. He attended Bristol Center and Harmony High School.

On April 25, 1941 he married Marie Henning of Cresco. He served in the Army during WWII. They farmed near Granger, MN, but his desire was to build, fly and test airplanes. He retired from government employment December 31, 1981 and moved to Oregon. Collin and Marie had also resided in California, Florida and Washington.

Survivors include two sons: Bob of Salem and Ron of Burney, CA; one daughter: Kathy Broadwater of Oregon City; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister: Nora Roberts of Santa Monica, CA.

Collin was preceded in death by his wife on January 1, 1999; one brother and two sisters.
