Hazel M. Bronner, age 89 of Cresco died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Linn Haven Rehab and Healthcare in New Hampton, Iowa.

Hazel Mae Bronner was born May 3, 1927 in Howard County to Arnold F. and Minnie L. (Michaelson) Ihns. She married William C. Bronner on October 17, 1942 in Cresco. They farmed in Howard County for 20 years, moving to Winneshiek County in 1966. Hazel enjoyed flower gardening and maintained a large vegetable from which she canned produce. She also enjoyed visiting with family and friends and day trips to see the countryside and stop and visit a casino.

Hazel is survived by five sons: Kenneth, Ronald, Eugene and Raymond, all of Cresco and Richard of LaPorte City, Iowa; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband William in 1990; two brothers: Arnold Jr and Delbert; two sisters: Louise McCunniff and Gladys Terbeest; two half-brothers: Francis and LaVern Ihns and a half-sister, Juanita Ihns.
