Death at 85 of Blodwen E. Jones Of Mason City

Mason City- Blodwen E. Jones, 85, of 302 Second St. N.E. Mason City, Iowa, died Friday, May 1,1992 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home there.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Donald Simmons officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lime Springs.
Blodwen E. Jones was born August 6, 1906, near Lime Springs, a daughter of L.R. and Jennie (Jones) Williams. She graduated from Lime Springs High School and later from Mankato Teachers College. She studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Minnesota. She taught school for 16 years in Northern Minnesota and Sioux City, Iowa, prior to being married. On June 19, 1941, she married the Rev. R. Lewis Jones at Dubuque. The couple lived on the East Coast for many years while the Rev. Jones was in the ministry. After he retired in 1963, the couple moved to Wales in the United Kingdom for nine years, then moved to Mason City in 1972. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and United Christian Women.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. R. Lewis Jones of Mason City; one niece, Harlene Frohling, Mankato, Minn., three nephews, Claire Williams, Pequot Lakes, Minn., and Keith Williams, Cedar Rapids, and three nieces in Wales, United Kingdom. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harlan and Earl.
