Vilotte Capouch, 83, died Monday, November 10, 2003 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in Lacrosse, WI.
Violette Angeline Capouch was born March 18, 1920, the daughter of Frank and Jennie (Mlady) Valvoda. She lived on a farm west of Lourdes with her parents. She attended school in Lourdes and graduated from Elma High School in 1939. On October 23, 1944 she married George Frank Capouch in Schley. They lived on a farm north of Schley. Violette's husband George died May 16, 1984 at which time she moved to Decorah and worked in the Decorah area cleaning houses and offices until she retired. In 1995 she moved to the farm by Schley with her son, David, until she became ill in February of 1999 and she moved to the Cresco Care Center until her death. She worked many years cleaning houses and offices in the Cresco area and took care of her mother until she died in 1966.
Violette's hobbies in the early years was collecting pictures and writings from newspapers. She also liked to do Hobby Craft Works, was in a cake decorating club, liked word puzzles, soap operas on TV, and going for rides.
She is survived by one son: David; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Violet was preceded in death by her husband George; her parents; and one sister; Lillian Riha.
