Diana Marie Roberts, 52, was born Nov. 26, 1960 in Dixon, Ill. and passed away April 11, 2013 around 2:30 p.m. after fighting pancreatic cancer, which in turn spread to her liver. She fought hard for nearly a year, until our good Lord was ready to receive her in Heaven.
Diana loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart and treated their friends as children of her own.
She enjoyed her morning coffee, watching Days of Our Lives and watching the storms blow in and out of her life. She loved her cats and also enjoyed watching her birds.
Diana married Tim Roberts on May 17, 2003 and lived a wonderful life with him until the very end. They were blessed with three boys and also adopted a daughter. She and her husband maintained a farming and trucking business for many years in the Lime Springs, Iowa area.
She will be missed by many but will remain in our hearts forever. She held her faith in her heart and accepted God into her life. Diana was baptised March 21 by Father Knipper of the Catholic church. Now she smiles down upon us as our Angel in Heaven.
Diana is preceded in death by her father, Don Widell. She is survived by her husband, Tim Roberts; her mother, Frances Widell; her sisters and brother, Bonnie, Cecilia and Doug; her children, Clayton, Adam and Joe Hurst (Darcie Abbott), Sheena (Josh) Hanson, Tammy (Travis) Hovey, Conner, Riley, Kaylee and William Roberts; and her grandchildren Damian, Dominic, Trinity, Logun, Brittany, Hope, Matthew, Makayla, Gage and Alyssa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Notre Dame Parish in Cresco, Iowa. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, as well as one hour prior to services at the church.
