Henry William Auringer was born November 5, 1898 (some sources give 1895) at Jamestown, Howard, Iowa to William E Auringer and Mary Fitzgerald, the first of their four children.

Found in the 1900 census living at Oakdale, Howard, Iowa: William Orenger 26, Mary Orenger 24, Henry Orenger 2.

Found in the 1910 census at Perry, Buchanan, Iowa: William E Auringer 34, Mary Auringer 32, Henry Auringer 11, Nellie Auringer 9, Lizzie Auringer 8, Sherman J Auringer 5.

Found in the 1915 census at Riceville, Mitchell, Iowa: Henry Auringer age 16.

Found in the 1920 census at Casey, Washburn, Wisconsin: William Onnager 44, Mary Onnager 42, Henry Onnager 21, Nellie Onnager 18, Sherman Onnager 15.

Found in the 1930 census at Precinct 4, Montezuma, Colorado; father is running a stock cattle ranch: William E 53, Henry W 29.

He married an Ethel L in Colorado between 1930 and 1940. The couple had no children.

Found in the 1940 census at Upper Delores, Montezuma, Colorado: Wm Auringer 65, Henry Auringer 43, Ethel Auringer 49.

1961 - 1971: Lived at Grand Junction, Colorado and found in the City Directories each year.

Henry W Auringer died November 7, 1971 at Grand Junction, Mesa, Colorado. He is buried at Memorial Gardens, Grand Junction, Mesa, Colorado.
