Arthur Floyd Auringer was born September 26, 1879 at Jamestown, Howard, Iowa to Henry James Auringer and Ellen Margaret Williams, the third of their six children. He had 2 older siblings, James Clark and William E and 3 younger siblings, Myrtle Delphine, Lee E and Bessie Lane.

Found in the 1880 - 1895 censuses living at Jamestown, Howard, Iowa:
1880: Moses Auringer 69 (his grandfather), Frank Auringer 38, Daniel Auringer 34, Henry Auringer 32, Ellen Auringer 28, James C. Auringer 10, Willard E. Auringer 5, Arthur F. Auringer 8 mos, Mariah Auringer 20.

1885: Henry Auringer 86, Nellie Auringer 33, James Auringer 14, William Auringer 10, Arthur Auringer 5, Mertie Auringer 0, Mays Auringer 73, Frank Auringer 42.

1895: Arthur Auringer age 15.

Found in the 1900 census at Jenkins, Mitchell, Iowa: (working as a hired man for a Jenkins family) Arthur Auringer age 19.

Arthur married Euphenia Nellie (or Nellie Euphenia?) Smart about 1905 at Howard County, Iowa.

Found in the 1905 census living at Big Lake, Sherberne, Minnesota: Arthur Oranger age 25, Nellie age 22.

The couple had 5 children: Jessie, Blanche, Ruby, Verna and Arthur.

Found in the 1910 census living at Monticello, Wright, Minnesota: Occupation farmer. Arthur F Awringer 30, Nellie E Awringer 26, Jesse L Awringer 4, Blanch R Awringer 3, Ruby M Awringer 4 mos.

Found in the 1920 census at Victor, Ravalli, Montana: Hettie (should be Nellie). Says he drove truck for a creamery. Arthur F Auringer 40, Hettie E Auringer 33, Jesse L Auringer 14, Blanche R Auringer 12, Ruby L Auringer 10, Verna L Auringer 6, Arthur R Auringer 4 yrs, 4 mos.

Sometime between 1920 to 1930, Arthur and Nellie divorced.

Found in the 1930 census living at Corvallis, Ravalli, Montana: (Truck driver for Stevenwille Creamery) Arthur F Auringer 50, Jesse Auringer 24, R Blanche Auringer 23, Verna Auringer 15.

Found a marriage record stating that Arthur married a Nellie E Mead on November 25, 1933 at Missoula, Montana. Not sure if this is Arthur the father or his son Arthur.

Arthur Floyd Auringer died on March 5, 1948 at Los Angeles, California.

He is buried at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Los Angeles, California.
