Died.

In the township of Paris, July 16, 1895, Margaret, wife of Patrick Daugherty aged about fifty seven years.

Deceased came to this county in 1857 with her husband and one child, a little girl. In the spring of 1859 they commenced work on the Herrick farm adjoining their present home. Since then by economy and industry a handsome property, a comfortable home and the blessing of a numerous and respected family of children have come to them.

The summons that called her hence was short and imperative. She was taken ill Monday evening and passed away about two o’clock Tuesday morning, her disease being heart failure.

She was a pure wife, a good mother and a true christian. Following her remains to their last resting place were her friends and neighbors the procession numbering seventy three teams. With the family in its great bereavement and sorrow all the people deeply sympathise.
